At ITC Vegas, we partnered with Wisedocs, a leader in AI medical records summary, to better understand how trust in AI is forming across the claims ecosystem and explore how claims professionals evaluate AI in practice. Through a series of conversations with industry leaders recorded at the Wisedocs booth, we asked how much trust AI earns on its own, how that trust changes when expert review is involved, and where AI is having, or could have, the greatest impact across the claims document review process.

In this installment, we speak with Matt Connolly, CEO, Sønr about trust in AI for claims document review. In the conversation Matt offers his perspective on how much AI generated outputs alone can be trusted for claims assessment and decision-making, how that trust changes when experts with specialized training review and validate the outputs for accuracy, compliance, and data integrity, and shares how he personally evaluates AI claims document review solutions. Matt explains that whilst “there has to be a level of integrity or trust validation before I’m going to make use of this in a professional environment” in his opinion “AI is the future. We get so much value, whether it’s driving efficiency, identify new growth opportunities.”
