Trust, Technology and Transformation: Jenna Earnshaw, Co-Founder and COO, Wisedocs
At ITC Vegas, we partnered with Wisedocs, a leader in AI medical records summary, to better understand how trust in AI is forming across the claims ecosystem and explore how claims professionals evaluate AI in practice. Through a series of conversations with industry leaders recorded at the Wisedocs booth, we explored how much trust AI earns on its own, how that trust changes when expert review is involved, and where AI is having, or could have, the greatest impact across the claims document review process.
In this installment, we speak with Jenna Earnshaw, Co-Founder and COO of Wisedocs, about how AI is shaping claims document review and decision-making in the insurance industry. She discusses the ways Wisedocs helps insurers streamline document review processes and address common pain points, including the need for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Reflecting on Wisedocs recent survey of claims professionals with PropertyCasualty360, Earnshaw notes that trust in AI alone remains low and emphasizes the importance of expert human oversight in increasing confidence and adoption. As she explains, “My fundamental belief is that humans need to work with AI, and by doing so, we’re able to actually create much higher impact outcomes for the customers that we work with… AI can do things like structuring data. We don’t need people to do that anymore, but we need humans to make decisions with that structured data and the AI to surface what’s important.”
