Arbol and Pollen Systems Announce Strategic Partnership to Modernise Crop and Climate Risk Insurance

February 11, 2026

Arbol and Pollen Systems have announced a strategic partnership to bring to market a first of its kind product that combines parametric insurance with multiple real-time data sources. The collaboration is supported by Esri, the global leader in location intelligence, and Omniris, which provides the underlying geospatial data platform and AI-driven analytics.

Together, the companies are addressing long-standing challenges in agricultural and climate risk insurance, including limited visibility into field-level conditions, slow claims processes, and fragmented data across satellite, drone, and ground sources. By integrating Arbol’s AI powered parametric insurance products with Pollen Systems’ agricultural intelligence and Omniris’ geospatial data infrastructure – built on Esri’s GIS technology – the partnership enables faster, more transparent risk assessment and claims resolution.

The joint solution combines satellite imagery, drone data, field observations, historical records, and parametric insurance products into a unified product designed to simplify the mitigation of ag-based climate risk. This approach allows insurers and their customers to move beyond static reports toward continuous, location-aware insight across the full lifecycle of a policy – from underwriting to claims.

Agricultural insurance has long been constrained by static data, delayed signals, and manual processes that don’t reflect how risk actually unfolds in the field,” said Sid Jha, CEO of Arbol. “By partnering with Pollen we’re creating a new standard for how climate risk is assessed, monitored, and resolved. This partnership brings real-time, location-aware insight directly into underwriting and claims, enabling faster decisions, greater transparency, and more resilient coverage for farmers and insurers alike.”

Early customer engagement highlights the value of this integrated approach in improving confidence and speed during climate events.

“This partnership represents a fundamental shift in how crop and climate risk insurance is designed and delivered. By combining Arbol’s parametric products with Pollen Systems’ field intelligence, we’re giving insurers and their customers a shared, trusted view of risk that persists over time,” said Keith McCall, CEO & Founder of Pollen Systems and Omniris. “That continuity is what enables faster decisions, greater transparency, and insurance products that actually reflect what’s happening on the ground.”
