At ITC Vegas, we partnered with Wisedocs, a leader in AI medical records summary, to better understand how trust in AI is forming across the claims ecosystem and explore how claims professionals evaluate AI in practice. Through a series of conversations with industry leaders recorded at the Wisedocs booth, we explored how much trust AI earns on its own, how that trust changes when expert review is involved, and where AI is having, or could have, the greatest impact across the claims document review process.

In this episode, we speak with Sabine VanderLinden, Co-Founder and CEO of Alchemy Crew Ventures, about trust in AI for claims assessment and decision-making. Sabine notes that she would trust AI-led claims assessments only partially, explaining that “we need to verify everything that comes out of an artificial intelligence. You need to think about AI like having a claims assistant just on day one within the company, so the output coming from the AI will be voluminous and it will be very fast in seconds. But is it accurate? That is the question.” She also emphasizes that involving claims adjusters in the process enables the AI to produce the most accurate outcomes, underscoring the critical role of human oversight in early adoption.
