Sixfold integrates with Munich Re’s Realytix Zero to automate the underwriting workflow
Sixfold, the underwriting AI used by leading insurers globally, has partnered with Munich Re to integrate its technology into Realytix Zero, Munich Re’s cloud-based automated underwriting platform.
Realytix Zero allows insurers to design, build, launch, and scale fully digital underwriting products and workflows without the use of significant IT resources. With the integration now live, Realytix Zero clients can incorporate Sixfold’s risk analysis of submissions directly into their products to create an end-to-end, AI driven workflow all within the Realytix Zero platform.
When a submission enters the workflow, Sixfold reviews the materials, enriches them with external and third-party data, and surfaces key risk signals and insights aligned to the insurer’s unique appetite. An ‘appetite fit’ score helps teams instantly prioritise submissions, while AI agents support underwriting decisions by streamlining steps like referrals. Realytix Zero then powers execution by automating the full rate, quote, and bind process, pre-populating risk data, and enabling underwriters to analyse, adjust, and price risks to issue a quote, bind, or decline. With Realytix Zero, underwriters can also manage referrals, endorsements, and renewals.
“Our partnership with Sixfold reflects the direction underwriting technology is taking,” said Florian Niklas, Co-Founder of Realytix Zero and Head of Underwriting Technologies at Munich Re. He added: “By combining Realytix Zero’s product development and workbench capabilities with Sixfold’s risk analysis, insurers can get products into the market quickly, reduce manual review, and make underwriting decisions faster and more consistently. Sixfold has built a strong reputation in the market and understands
the complexity of underwriting, which is why we’re excited for this partnership.”
Roger Ferrandis, Head of Partnerships at Sixfold, said: “Realytix Zero is used by insurers around the world to run their underwriting workflows. Bringing Sixfold into that environment enables underwriters to review submissions faster while maintaining high-quality risk selection and a healthy portfolio. Sixfold is built to integrate with the systems underwriters already use, and this partnership is a great example of that in action.”
Together, the platforms bring submission intake, analysis, and underwriting decision-making support into a single workflow, reducing manual review and helping teams get quotes out faster without compromising underwriting quality.
The integration is now available to insurers using the Realytix Zero platform.
